Zoanne Evans

Born and raised in a small village in Barbados, Zoanne Evans currently teaches Rhetoric at UWI Cave Hill campus. A graduate of Cave Hill, she holds a BA in English Literature with French and an MA in English Literature. A trained teacher with twenty seven years’ experience under her belt, she has also taught at some of the island’s schools and her first posting was to Paris, where she worked as a Teacher’s Assistant while pursuing art classes at a private art school. The best university, she notes, has been life itself, from which she has drawn the inspiration for many of the award winning pieces in this collection of short stories and poems titled In the Shade of the Shak-Shak. The Kids in Action Colouring/Activity Book is her latest publication along with illustrations in My Little Book of Prayers by Michelle C. M. Daniel.
